According to new statistics prepared
by My.com, about 50% of Internet users in the United States spend more than an
hour every day reading their e-mails. Moreover, it turned out that ¾ of survey
respondents check their e-mail in the morning, ½ check at lunch and almost 6 in
10 said that checking their e-mails is the last thing they do before going to
sleep.
So, expanding the list of
your potential customer e-mail addresses and sending them business news or
special offers must be a high priority for your start-up marketing campaigns.
According to the research, Gmail
is one of the most popular e-mail services all around the world: 59% of
Internet users have a Gmail account. About 70% of users have 2 and more e-mail
accounts. Here we can see that Yahoo ranks second. Moreover, according to the
data, 12 % of users still have an AOL account.
